Welcome to Providence Coal Fired Pizza, where culinary passion meets a commitment to quality in the heart of North Kingstown, Rhode Island! Nestled conveniently at 6105 Post Rd, this pizzeria marries tradition with modern flair, serving up mouthwatering pizzas from their coal-fired ovens. With a phone number of +1 401-885-7499, they're always ready to welcome new and returning guests alike.
From the first bite, it’s clear that Providence Coal Fired Pizza takes pride in its offerings. Diners rave about their innovative toppings and the beautifully charred crust, exemplified by the much-loved BBQ pulled pork pizza. Many reviews echo the sentiment that the flavor is truly unrivaled, making it a standout choice for both casual visits and special occasions.
However, as with all dining experiences, feedback is mixed. Patrons like Bruce Provencher have noted that while the pizza is delicious, there may be other options worthy of exploration. It’s worth mentioning that customer service can sometimes fluctuate, as seen in contrasting experiences shared by Bruce and Dayna Mancini-Simmons, who praised the staff's friendliness during a networking event. This adaptability showcases the restaurant's understanding of hospitality. A bright spot in Bruce's experience was his interaction with Ellie, a server who went above and beyond to elevate the meal.
It’s clear that the ambiance plays a crucial role in the overall experience. The layout and decor enhance the inviting atmosphere, making dining here a delight. Many guests appreciated the cleanliness and warm vibes as much as the food itself. Amanda Escobar captured this sentiment perfectly in her review, highlighting the ability to watch pizzas being crafted, providing a sense of connection to the culinary art form. Coupled with excellent cocktails and a robust selection of wings, there are elements that appeal to everyone.
Pricing remains a topic of conversation, with some customers feeling that the value could be improved. While the coal-fired pizza quality and unique flavors shine, management could benefit from reassessing reservation policies and pricing structures, as noted by Mike Jan. Nonetheless, the delightful service and fresh ingredients keep many patrons eager to return.
In summary, Providence Coal Fired Pizza is a culinary gem worth discovering. With its dynamic menu, skilled chefs, and evolving service experience, it holds promise for both casual diners and those planning events. Whether you’re seeking classic pies or bold new flavors, this local hotspot may just become your favorite pizzeria. Prepare for a memorable meal, and while you’re at it, keep an open mind about the unique customer experiences that make this place feel like a community hub.
“ The pizza was quite good, but I think there are better pizzas to be found. The staff was rather distant and unengaging. I felt the prices were a little high also. Second time in was much better. Had a great server, Ellie, and she even turned us on to a great bakery up the road. ”
“ I went here for my first time and it was so good!!!! My waitress was super friendly and understanding of my ten year old our first pizza was slightly overdone so she got another made for free and we didn't even ask, we loved the first one just as much as the second!! Great size pizza great flavor lots of choices!!! Beautiful layout and decor and very clean!! Pricing is appropriate in my opinion you even get to watch your pizza made!!! I would highly recommend coming here!! I can't wait to go back!!! The bbq pulled pork pizza was amazing ”
“ We got a meat lover's pizza, and it was pretty tasty. However, two things: first, management needs to review their reservation policy. When we got there, the place was about 1/3 full, and the hostess stated that all the rest of the seats were reserved. We went back to our vehicle and made an online reservation for 45 minutes later. We were parked right across the entrance and watched while we waited. A few people arrived, but nowhere was the amount needed to fill all the tables. When we did go back in, the place was only a little more than half full. With that many people not showing up, the reservations should have been voided after 10-15 minutes of not showing up for walk-ins like us. Secondly, the pricing is very disportionent. You get a medium pizza for the price of a large. We're sorry, but that doesn't make us want to return. Bad enough, every place charges way too much as it is for a 16oz glass of beer ($8.00) and cocktails ($13.00), but luckily, our server was very personable. ”
“ The pizza is the best in RI. Best chicken wings anywhere. Excellent cocktails. PCFP never disappoints. ”
“ Hosted a networking event at the North Kingstown location and I cannot say enough good things about it! From the moment we walked in a few weeks ago to book the event, the staff was friendly and helpful and happy to have us there - and that carried through right to the event itself. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The food choices were great for what we needed, everything was delicious and presented nicely. I would HIGHLY recommend hosting an event here or just coming in to enjoy their delicious food! ”
